Congratulations to Contego Construction Estimator Manager Jonathan Taylor, who has just passed the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
The 5 day SMSTS course covers The Health & Safety at Work Act as applied to the building, construction and civil engineering industries.
It also features risk assessment in the workplace, and areas of potential danger, such as scaffolding, electricity and confined spaces.
The course was developed to assist site managers and potential site managers, to gain knowledge, awareness and understanding of their legal and social responsibilities in respect of Health & Safety. It also helps ensure employees welfare on construction sites.
The SMSTS course is highly respected in the construction industry.
Indeed, many companies – including Contego Response – insist that their site managers achieve this qualification. Jonathan is now qualified for the management of sites such as construction, building maintenance or facilities management.
Jonathan is based at our Durham Pest Control branch, and has been with Contego Response for 4 years, beginning as Area Surveyor then progressing to his present position as National Sales Manager.
He deals with all our large construction based projects, such as pigeon-proofing, and specialist commercial cleaning packages.
